Windows 10 Preview |
The world’s largest software maker had to face a huge lot of
issues with Windows 8. There were too many problems with Windows 8 and because
of which, the number of users migrating to it have not increased at a
satisfactory rate. The Modern User Interface was the most criticized feature in
Windows 8. The UI is drastically different from Windows 7. Most Windows 7 users
hated Windows 8 because of the complete overhaul of the familiar user
interface. Apart from that, there were
many other problems such as the lack of traditional elements like the Start
button and the Start Menu. There is a desktop mode, but users have to go
through the difficult-to-absorb features before getting to it. In short,
Windows 8 is hugely unpopular and Microsoft wants to change this.
Windows 9 was the rumored OS to replace Windows 8. But,
Microsoft wants to start things fresh. Windows 9 sounds an improvement on
Windows 8. Microsoft wants to dissociate from Windows 8 as much as possible. This
is why they made a psychological move. The company skipped an entire version
number to introduce the new OS, Windows 10.
The software company revealed the Windows 10 preview recently.
There are some hugely promising new features that Microsoft
has included in the latest Windows OS. What is the most awesome feature is the
new two-factor authentication system that Microsoft is introducing with the new
OS and they say it has the good potential to deal with phishing attacks and
password database breaches, effectively. Actually, these are, without a shadow
of doubt, two of the most popular tactics hackers use for the purpose of gaining
unsolicited and unauthorized access to our online accounts. By now, users might
be quite familiar with the extremely effective two-factor authentication. This
usually involves sending you a different access code through either email or
SMS that you type in after you have typed in your password onto a website.

This wonderful technique disallows hackers the opportunity
to use your password for accessing your online accounts, unless they have total
access to either your email account or your mobile phone. This is a brilliant
mechanism to guard against unauthorized access.
This feature is probably the greatest security feature a Windows
OS has ever seen until now. Earlier, things were too easy for high level
hackers to hack the system. With the new security feature, the new Windows OS
looks far more secure.
