The president of Microsoft Indonesia, Andreas Diantoro,
confirmed lately that Windows 10 download is free for those who own Windows 8
already. Now this really matters since users are used to free downloads and
updates for operating systems. This is something common with most of the other
major OS providers such as Android, iOS and OSX, which provide updates free of
charge.
Microsoft is putting its best efforts to gain back the trust
among the users, which was lost with the introduction of Windows 8. Microsoft
wants to make sure that Windows 10 would make up for the loss of Windows 8. Keeping
all that happened earlier with Windows 8, Windows 10 would be the chance for it
to change the mood of discussion surrounded by Windows.
Windows 10 will be available for free, taking examples of OSX
and Windows 8.1. This would be similar to the updates to Mavericks from Apple,
which also resembles the recent Apple update to Yosemite that is already in
Preview, ready for the developers to download and test. Windows 10 free
download is also similar to Windows 8.1, which was a free update to Windows RT
and Windows 8 users when it was rolled out through Windows Store initially.

download, all you need to do is visit the website preview.windows.com from your
computer. You would find the Get Started button, click on the same and follow
the onscreen instructions one by one. According to Microsoft, Windows 10 would
be more like one product, one family and one store available as a free
download. The desktop version of Windows 10 will have dual features, said Joe
Belfiore. Hence, there will be no separation in between old desktop and modern
apps.

It is not sure if Windows 10 would be free to download for
Windows Vista and Windows 7 users. However, we expect that there is a special
offer for people who own Windows XP. It would make sense only when Windows 10
is available for all, so that every user takes advantage of the latest
operating system. This will make more sense for Microsoft’s effort to gain the
long lost trust of the users. This will draw more people to update to the
latest and the expectedly best operating system. Even then, let us not forget
that there will be limitations such as the system requirements and the likes.
