Windows 10 OS |
The best way to use Windows 10 is to install the OS in a proper
machine and to make sure that it is the only operating system running. There
are two ways to accomplish this. First is to take an old computer or laptop
that you no longer use and install the Windows 10 operating system from
scratch. The second method is to take a spare hard disk, put in your computer
and then start installing Windows 10 on it. If you wish to make use of both the
hard disks, power down your PC, unplug the current hard disk, and then install
the secondary hard disk.
After installing the Windows 10 OS, you can plug the old HDD
in as well and enter the BIOS or UEFI to select which HDD to boot from. After that,
plug your USB boot drive into the test computer, turn it on and then navigate
to the UEFI or BIOS of the computer. This is usually done by pressing on one of
the function keys, like F2, or the Delete key repeatedly as the computer boots.
Navigate to the Boot section of the setup menu and ensure that USB drive is the
first boot option.
The setup program may be displaying the USB drive as a hard
drive, so you will have to go to hard disk boot priority area and put the
Windows 10 USB drive ahead of the actual hard disk of the computer.

Depending
on the computer, you may have to turn off options like Secure Boot or Enable Boot
from the external device. You can then save the settings and exit BIOS. If you
are experiencing any issues in getting into the BIOS or UEFI on a Windows 8 PC,
you can plug in the USB boot drive and try the below method.
Open the Charms bar, select Settings and then Change PC
settings. Choose Update and Recovery, click on Recovery and click on Restart Now,
located in the Advanced start-up area. After the computer restarts, click on
the Use A Device option and then select your USB boot drive. Now Windows will
be able to load the setup from the drive. This is the only way to boot a
Surface Pro from USB.
These are the steps to install Windows 10 from scratch. You
will be able to download Windows 10 from the Windows 10 download link in the
Microsoft website. To know more on Windows 10 download, you can contact our Microsoft
