With the many problems with Windows 8, Windows users were expecting to hear more about Windows 9, which was the next rumored Windows OS. Windows 9 was supposed to be Windows 8 done right, just like Windows 7 was Windows Vista rectified. The software giant Microsoft Corporation surprised users by skipping a version number to reveal Windows 10. Windows 10 download will be available next year when it will be officially released. Recently, the company unveiled a preview version of Windows 10 download.
There are some obvious changes, but we will discuss some of the hidden features that some of you may not have noticed. So, let us have a sneak peek.

A brand new Home tab

When you consider the last few versions of Windows, when you open My Computer window, you would see you your computer’s multiple storage locations and various shortcuts to default folders such as Documents and My Pictures. Windows 10 bring something new.  Users will now end up in a new view, which is referred to as Home, which shows options such as Favorites, Frequent Folders, and Recent Files.
When we talk about Favorites, it looks like, where Documents or My Pictures should show up. Now, the Frequent Folders, if we look at it logically, we can see it may be used to track, which folders users have opened the most number of times. The Recent Files looks like the same feature, which was first seen in Windows Vista.

Start Menu is now resizable

Finally, the feature, which most users have been waiting for and which should have been made available long ago –Start Menu can now be resized. This should have been there much before, but now with Windows 10, users can enjoy this functionality. You can make the Start Menu as tall and as wide as you prefer.

We are not talking about the rumored Notification Tray. Actually, it is not there yet in the Technical Preview. However, users need not be totally disappointed, because there are some new pretty notifications that now come as pop ups in the top right corner of the Window 10 desktop screen. These notifications are present in the place of the Speech Bubbles, which you might be familiar of, used to pop out of the system tray.
